It all started when Odete and Ignez Barcelos opened the Trevo restaurant where the old Saladas da Vovó restaurant, in Bonsucesso, operated. The restaurant was small and simple, but it had already won the approval of customers who had always been a regular at Ignez's cuisine.
Odete, had been working in the business for about five years, during which time he commanded Batida de Frente, in Itaipava and Bateu no Paladar, in Araras. While Ignez, he wrote his story as one of the best chefs in Brazil, in charge of kitchens such as: Jazz Mania, Pousada das Araras and Pousada da Pedra Bonita, at Fazenda Inglesa. Subsequently, they were invited to occupy the restaurant at the great Delicatessen The Place, in Bonsucesso, where they grew up and won the award for the 3rd best restaurant in Rio in 2000.
Upon invitation, they opened the Clube do Filet restaurant in Condomínio Granja Brasil, a name suggested by the customers themselves, who thought that the restaurant should become a “club” for their regular customers.
The headquarters of Granja Brasil, where the restaurant is located, is a wonderful setting, with its gardens, a beautiful fountain and a very nice and cozy balcony, ideal place to taste the succulent filet with delicious sauces and mouth-watering side dishes.
