Preparation

Mix the flour with the salt, eggs and a little warm water. Knead, and divide the dough into balls.
Place the balls in a floured container and cover with a wet cloth for 30 minutes.
Make leaves with the balls.
For the filling; mix the chopped cheese with the eggs and 2/3 of the melted butter.
Grease a container with the rest of the butter.
Place the cheese mixture on the leaves and roll them up.
Place the rolls in a baking pan at 180 / 200ºC until they reach a golden color.

Note: Dessert prepared by many Bulgarian families, especially during holidays and festive seasons.
It is usual to eat for breakfast or even as a main course.

  • 500g Bulgarian cow cheese
