Preparation

This dish is typical of Basque gastronomy, to prepare it, remember to previously desalt the cod, in water.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, sauté the onion and tomato puree.
Place the fish, tomato, potato slices, pepper and peppers, all layered in the pan.
Cook slowly over medium heat until all ingredients are tender, or for about an hour. Serve with bread.

Serve hot and have a good appetite!

  • 2 tablespoons of tomato puree
  • 6 slices of tomatoes or the same amount of canned tomatoes
  • 400 g of sliced ​​potatoes
  • 2 red or green peppers, sliced
  • ½ finely chopped fresh green or red chili pepper
