Preparation

We wash the wheat with water, drain it and soak it with plenty of clean water overnight. the next day, we drain it again and process it or pass it through the mincing machine. we are adding the fat. then we place the wheat in a saucepan with the milk and cook until it is consumed. if necessary, we add a few tablespoons of water or milk. then add the syrup, the orange peel, sugar and continue cooking until a cream is obtained, always stirring with a wooden spoon. When the cream comes off the sides of the pan and the bottom of the pan is easily visible, remove from the heat. then, we pour the contents into a baking dish, sprinkle with the cinnamon and cook in the oven for at least 2 hours over moderate heat. We remove and we must cool it, before serving. it is eaten cold.

  • 1/2 kilo of cracked white wheat
  • Necessary amount of water
  • 2 tablespoons of pella fat
  • 1 1/4 liter of milk
  • 1/2 liter of syrup
  • A tablespoon of grated orange or lemon peel
  • Sugar to taste
