Mocotó is a country food restaurant located in Vila Medeiros, north of São Paulo. It was founded as a northern house in 1973 by José de Almeida and today it is run by his son, Rodrigo Oliveira. This is where the country cuisine meets the innovation proposed by Rodrigo.
A kitchen that, as Rodrigo Oliveira defines it, is made with eyes on the world and feet always firm in the hinterland.
The recognition of the work came from different directions. It occupies the 43rd place in the list of the best restaurants in Latin America by the British magazine Restaurante, received the Bib Gourmand seal by the Michelin Guide and the prize of Restaurante Bom e Barato by the magazine Veja São Paulo.
