Preparation

Mix the fine corn flour with the wheat flour and the yeast. form a circle in the dough, add the oil in the center and knead. when the dough is done, roll it out with a rolling pin. then we make some wide strips that are not very long, fry in abundant oil and then sprinkle with honey.

We put the pestiños in a bowl and sprinkle with powdered sugar and let it cool.

Ingredients

  • 100 gr. of fine corn flour cornstarch.
  • 200 gr. of wheat flour.
  • 1 small glass of extra virgin olive oil with designation of origin.
  • 1 small glass of white wine.
  • 10 gr. of anise (Anís, Matalahúva in grain).
  • 6 tablespoons of honey.
  • 4 tablespoons of water.
  • powdered sugar for dusting.
  • ½ envelope of yeast.
