beat the 12 yolks with the 4 eggs until thickened, add the sifted flour, salt and alcohol, then add the margarine and knead well. form the donuts of more or less 5 cm. and bring them to a boil in a pot. then they are drained and they have to dry for about 20 hours in the sun; after this time, they are cooked in a strong oven.
To whiten them, boil the cup of water with the sugar until the syrup is formed. Separately, beat the whites until stiff and then add the hot syrup with a few drops of lemon and continue beating. With this preparation, whiten the donuts with a brush. It is customary to prepare them on November 2 to honor our deceased at the table.
