Preparation

1. make a dough as if it were bread with flour, the yeast dissolved in a little water, the melted lard, the fennel and the grated lemon peel. Pour the milk little by little and knead as if it were bread.
2. then add the sugar, knead some more until the dough becomes pliable, cover with a cloth and let it rise.
3. small cakes are formed, which are placed on a tray, previously sprinkled with flour, and let stand 30 minutes.
4.Place a boiled egg on each cake, brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sugar.
5. it will be cooked in a very hot 200ºc oven, check with a toothpick if they are cooked.
6. If you want to make bigger flares, you will need to place more boiled eggs.

  • 1 kg of wheat flour
  • 10 gr of baker's yeast
  • 35 gr of lard

  • q.b. of sugar to sprinkle
