Preparation

Chop the onion and sauté it with a little oil in a large pot. When they are transparent and before they start to brown, add a minced garlic and brown it for a couple of minutes. Add the lentils, the cinnamon stick, the cumin, the chilli and the water.

When it begins to boil, add the peeled and diced potatoes, season with salt and pepper. cover and let it boil over medium heat for 35 minutes. We turn off the heat and add the juice of one lemon, cut the other lemon into thin slices and also add them to the pot. We remove and cover so that it conserves the heat.
Laminate the remaining 2 garlics and brown them in a small frying pan with a good jet of oil. As soon as they are golden brown, pour the garlic and oil over the lentils. stir and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
