Plantain leaves (Plantago) are rich in calcium and other minerals and vitamins, but especially, they are rich in vitamin K, with aucubin as the active ingredient, responsible for most of its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, it also has the specific allantoin that helps in skin regeneration. Its very promising use in the treatment of bleeding cuts and wounds, and for its astringent, emollient and fluidizing properties of phlegm both in the respiratory tract and in the digestive system - thus, it is a very useful plant in flu-like conditions, diarrhea and other difficulties resulting cooling or viruses. It can also be used as an aid in the treatment of stomach ulcers, gastritis and other gastrointestinal inflammatory processes
Preparation
- 2 teaspoon of green or dry leaves.
- 1 boiling cup
- Preparation mode:
- Add plantain leaves to boiling water, cover and let stand for 10 minutes.
- Strain and take once or twice a day, at the ideal temperature.
