Preparation

Cut the tuna into steaks in thin slices and season with salt, pepper, bay leaves, garlic, vinegar, white wine and oregano. Let the steaks marinate in this preparation for at least 3 hours, turning them from time to time.
Drain the tuna steaks and fry them on both sides until they have a crust.
Remove the steaks and pour the mayonnaise and the marinade in the oil. Bring to a boil and then pour over the steaks.
Serve the steaks hot. Serve with potatoes, corn or rice.

  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 dl of olive oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2.5 dl of vinegar
  • 2.5 dl of white wine
  • 3 crushed garlic cloves
  • 750 g of tuna
  • alcepás (regional way of designating allspice) q.s.
  • oregano q.s.
  • salt q.s.
